Since 2014, this area has benefited greatly from initiatives to engage producers and promote investment in specialty coffee, culminating in a notable representation at the Cup of Excellence competition in 2017. Advancements in processing techniques and access to farmer education centered on picking, post-harvest procedures, and cupping have helped foster a local producer community full of pride and dedication to their craft.
